Antonín Dvořák and the region of Liberec - Sources for composer's life and work

The goal of the submitted work is to find out and to evaluate the state of sources connected with Antonín Dvořák's personal artistic contacts as well as with reception of his artwork and his figure in the regions set in the introduction of this work and by the concept of Liberec region in general. The first chapter named "State of Research" brings along with other information also the report on discovering two copies of letters completely unknown until now in the section named "Sources". Antonín Dvořák addressed these letters to Alois Göbl to Sychrov. The next chapter is dedicated to Turnov region and to his concert in Semily. This chapter summarizes already well known information about Dvořák's visits in this region; as well as it expands our knowledge based on unpublished sources from the archive of the choir named Antonín Dvořák, and also from Museum of Český Ráj both located in Turnov. The last chapter focuses on other regions stated in the introduction; the sources based on this theme were expected to be relatively smaller after the very first look at the problem. The Memorial Book of the Chapel at the Sychrov Castel, 1862-1867.

This bachelor thesis aims to introduce a memorial book of the chapel of the castle Sychrov (Liber memorabilium arcis Sichrov = Memorabilienbuch des Schlosses Sichrow), which was created in year 1862. The memorial book was written between years 1862-1950 (the memorial book consisting of three volumes, special attention is dedicated to the establishing of the memorial book and the first volume written up to year 1867). The creation of the memorial book was commanded by Sychrov owner Kamil Rohan. The command was fulfilled by beneficed chaplain Josef Němeček and his successors. In this thesis there is described the creation of the memorial book, strong connection to the memorial book of the castle (Gedenkbuch des Schlosses Sichrow) and for better understanding of creation, there is described position of Sychrov chaplain with short Němeček biography. Two general chapters Rohans and Sychrov are written with using of content of the memorial book of the chapel. As an addendum, the first memorial book is edited in in brief regesta format in this thesis.
The Castle Library Sychrov - History and Structure

in English: The topic of this Diploma Thesis is the Sychrov Castle Library, which belonged to the Rohan noble clan. The aim of this Thesis was to evaluate the proveniencial, thematic, linguistic and quantitative representation of individual titles. The introduction presents the aim of the work and its structure. The subsequent chapters focus briefly on the history of the Sychrov Castle and the history of the Rohans, mainly the Rohan-Guémené line, since the members of the clan who settled at the Sychrov Castle came from that line. Details are given about the representatives of the nobility clan who had substantial influence on the appearance and composition of the castle library. The fourth chapter is devoted to the Sychrov Castle Library itself and familiarises readers with catalogues, book quantities, document issue dates, information about the oldest and newest titles, the language composition of the library's collection and preserved exlibris, supralibros and ownership inscriptions. The most extensive chapter, the fifth one, focuses on the content characteristics of the Sychrov Castle Library's collection. The sixth chapter compares the library's collection with the library collections of two different nobility clans, the Beaufort-Spontin and the Mensdorff-Pouilly clans. The seventh chapter...
